Frequently_Asked_Questions

SPECIFICATIONS

How do license keys work without an account?

When you complete your US$4.50 purchase through Lemon Squeezy, your unique license key is immediately shown on screen and sent to your email. You paste it once into the Lumina flyout. It works offline, and quietly re-checks the key weekly when connected to the internet. No accounts, passwords, or cloud logins required.

Will the hotkeys interrupt or steal focus from my games?

No. The in-game HUD overlay is specifically engineered to never steal focus. When you trigger your hotkey inside borderless and windowed games, the HUD slides up smoothly for 1.3 seconds without stealing keyboard or mouse focus.

How does Lumina control HDR SDR brightness differently?

Traditional brightness utilities attempt to use DDC/CI monitor commands, which are frequently locked or ignored by display firmware in Windows 11 HDR mode. Lumina interfaces directly with the official Windows CCD API (DisplayConfigSetDeviceInfo) to control the exact native SDR White Level slider that Windows Settings controls, with zero latency.

Which monitors are supported?

Works with any Windows 11 HDR display (OLED, QD-OLED, Mini-LED, and IPS). Tested and verified on the Dell Alienware AW3423DW. If Windows 11 HDR is turned on, Lumina can adjust its SDR content brightness.

How many computers can I use my Pro license on?

Each license key can be activated on up to 3 personal machines (e.g. your desktop gaming rig and your laptop).
